We are seeking a new Vice President, Finance who will provide strategic leadership and oversight of Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting, and Loan Administration departments. This role ensures the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements for all investment funds and corporate entities, oversees the accounting and administration of loans and equity investments, and partners with the Co-CEO & CFO on strategic initiatives to drive growth, efficiency, and investor confidence.
The role encompasses the following:
Corporate Accounting
- Review and sign off on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, providing analysis and commentary to the Board
- Manage corporate cash flow, working capital, and distribution planning. Provides the board with monthly updates.
- Collaborate with Tax on efficient and accurate filings and payments, new initiatives or transactions.
- Partner with Treasury to design and administer effective cash controls and payment processes.
- Ensure accounting polices and procedures are efficient, controlled, and well-defined.
Fund Accounting
- Lead the preparation, review, and delivery of financial statements for all investment funds.
- Act as the primary liaison with the Audit Committee and external auditors. Ensures all deadlines are met.
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Oversee audits and maintain strong relationships with external audit partners.
Loan Administration
- Oversee the administration of the loan servicing system, including evaluation of functionality and the implementation of upgrades or new systems.
- Ensure timely accounting and reporting of all loans and equity investments to internal and external stakeholders
- Support investment teams with accurate financial data to inform lending and investment decisions
The successful leader will have 15+ years' experience in Corporate Accounting, with additional experience in Fund Accounting and/or Loan Administration. They will also have significant depth of experience in managing multiple accounting and finance teams, with the proven ability to mentor and develop people to build a high performing finance function. On offer is a competitive total rewards package, which includes a base salary range between ($191,760 to $319,260), as well as health and retirement benefits.
