Vice President, Construction

Metro Vancouver

What does it look like to lead construction at scale—
and
still care deeply about how things are built?

We are partnering with a privately held, fully integrated real estate organization with nearly four decades of experience delivering complex projects across Metro Vancouver and beyond. With a platform that spans development, construction, and long-term asset ownership, this organization has grown into one of the region's most respected building-developers, known for technical excellence, disciplined execution, and a commitment to building communities that last.

Over the years, the company has delivered tens of thousands of homes and hundreds of projects across residential, commercial, hospitality, and senior living asset classes. Its evolution—from contractor roots to a sophisticated, multi-disciplinary real estate platform—has been guided by strong values, long-term thinking, and a culture that prizes accountability and craftsmanship.

The Opportunity

Reporting to senior executive leadership and working in close partnership with the President and Senior Leadership members, the Vice President, Construction plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's construction strategy. This position offers direct access to decision-makers, a highly collaborative leadership environment, and meaningful influence over some of the most complex and visible projects in the region.

The VP provides strategic oversight and hands-on leadership across the full construction portfolio, ensuring excellence in schedule, cost control, quality, and safety. Beyond delivery, this role is about strengthening systems, developing people, and advancing the maturity of construction operations through continuous improvement and proactive risk management.

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be championing purpose and values, building trust across teams, and ensuring project teams are equipped, aligned, and empowered to perform at the highest level.

Who You Are

You are an accomplished construction leader—currently operating as a Director, VP, or SVP—who thrives in complex environments and knows how to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously. Your experience includes the full construction lifecycle of sophisticated developments such as high-rise residential, mixed-use, commercial, and/or industrial projects.

You bring deep end-to-end construction expertise, whether gained through a leading general contractor or within an in-house development environment. Just as importantly, you are a people-first leader: someone who motivates, mentors, and empowers teams while maintaining clear accountability and high standards.

You are curious, forward-thinking, and commercially minded—able to spot value-add opportunities, encourage innovation, and make informed decisions across every phase of a project.

Why This Role Stands Out

Opportunities like this don't come often. This is a chance to step into a senior leadership role within a stable, values-driven organization that is entering its next phase of growth and transformation. You'll have real influence, long-term runway, and the ability to leave a lasting mark on how projects are delivered—and on the people who deliver them.

  • Based in Metro Vancouver, the role includes regular work across multiple office locations, offering exposure to both urban and suburban development portfolios.
