Quality Control Technician

Marshall Land Systems requires a Quality Control Technician in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the inspection of products, sub-assemblies, and components for various projects within the manufacturing facility.
Your responsibilities in this role:
- Perform physical and visual inspection of components, sub-assemblies and finished products at process stages to ensure the delivered items meet the appropriate specification and company workmanship standards.
- Conduct inspections of supplied components against drawings, appropriate specifications and internal work instructions using a variety of measuring equipment.
- Ensure compliance to procedures, policies and work instructions.
- Issue MRB's, Internal Inspection Reports and SNCR's as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Apply if you have most of the following:
- Post Secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Manufacturing/Production Engineering or Quality Systems qualifications, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a quality control / quality control inspector / Quality assurance role.
- Experience working in a ISO9001 certified manufacturing facility or company.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior organizational abilities, and excellent computer skills.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED, preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, Assembly diagrams.
- Knowledge of quality inspection principles.
- Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset.
- Willing to shift work if required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of welding inspection is an asset.
- Knowledge of sampling plan and statistical process control is an asset.
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
