Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and driven Hairstylist with a full range of hair services to join our established salon in Thornhill, ON. With over 40 years in business, our salon is a trusted name in the community, offering stylists a steady stream of walk-ins, a professional atmosphere, and the freedom to grow independently.

The ideal candidate is a go-getter with at least 4-5 years of experience, strong retail sales skills, and the ability to work independently. Bringing your own clientele is highly preferred and will be rewarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver full-service hair care
  • Haircuts, colour services (highlights, balayage, root/full colour, lowlights)
  • Styling (blowouts, updos, bridal/event styles)
  • Hair treatments (keratin smoothing, oil/scalp, deep conditioning)
  • Maintain a clean and professional workstation, following hygiene and safety standards
  • Provide personalized consultations and build strong, long-term client relationships
  • Upsell and recommend salon products to enhance the client experience and drive retail revenue
  • Handle basic front desk tasks and participate in content creation for salon's social media
  • Stay current on trends and techniques in both traditional and extension-based hair services
  • Hair Extensions: Installation, maintenance, and removal

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed hairstylist with 3-5 years of experience
  • Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients effectively.
  • Retail sales experience is preferred to enhance upselling opportunities.
  • Independent, reliable, and motivated to succeed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
