The purpose of this job posting is to create a candidate pool and not fill a current vacancy.

Role Summary: As an Employer Liaison, you will be working with our Career Transition Services (CTS) team assisting Canadian Armed Forces Members, Veterans, and their families. Working in accordance with our values and set performance targets, the Employer Liaison helps candidates connect with employment opportunities while working directly with employers to promote our services, determine employer needs, and propose solutions through job matching and placement of candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting cold calls and identifying employers across Canada with hiring needs
  • Seeking job leads through prospecting and actively engaging employers
  • Matching candidates with employment opportunities secured through the job development process
  • Documenting employer requirements so that candidates can prepare effectively for interviews
  • Helping to negotiate employment opportunities in partnership with candidates 
  • Ensuring job placements are supported to the extent required

Requirements:

  • Completed Certificate, Diploma or Degree in either Business, Sales, and/or Marketing or equivalent military related or Veteran-centric experience such as:
    1. Canadian Armed Forces Recruiting Centre as a liaison officer or clerk 
    2. Working in support of Canadian Armed Forces community outreach programs nationally or internationally
    3. Experience as a Base Personnel Selection Officer
    4. Or other unique military experience role involving extensive community liaison, external relations and public facing interaction or Public Servants or employees of the Royal Canadian Legion who have worked in Veteran-facing advisor roles Minimum 3 years of job development experience 
  • Experience working with those identifying disabilities or other barriers to employment
  • Bilingualism (English/French) a strong asset 
  • Equivalent military related or Veteran-centric experience a strong asset
  • Obtain and maintain Canadian Industrial Security Directorate of Public Service and Procurement Canada Reliability Status

Hours: Various shifts within the hours of operation. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. EST. Flexibility required.

Travel:  Occasional travel may be required to travel within or outside of regular working hours to attend meetings and/or events.

Résumé du rôle : En tant qu'agent de liaison avec les employeurs, vous travaillerez avec notre équipe des Services de transition de carrière (STC) qui aide les membres des Forces armées canadiennes, les anciens combattants et les familles. Travaillant conformément à nos valeurs, avec des objectifs de performance définis, l'agent de liaison avec les employeurs aide les candidats à trouver des possibilités d'emploi tout en travaillant directement avec les employeurs pour promouvoir nos services, déterminer les besoins des employeurs et proposer des solutions par le biais du jumelage et du placement de candidats.

Responsabilités :

  • Effectuer des appels à froid et identifier les employeurs à travers le Canada ayant des besoins de recrutement.
  • Rechercher des pistes d'emploi à partir de la prospection et de l'engagement actif des employeurs.
  • Aide à la négociation des offres d'emploi en partenariat avec les candidats
  • Documenter les exigences de l'employeur afin que les candidats puissent se préparer efficacement aux entretiens.
  • S'assurer que les placements professionnels sont soutenus dans la mesure requise.
  • Mettre en relation les candidats avec les opportunités d'emploi obtenues grâce au processus de développement de l'emploi.

Exigences :

  • Certificat, diplôme ou grade en affaires, en ventes et/ou en marketing ou expérience militaire équivalente ou expérience axée sur les anciens combattants, notamment au Centre de recrutement des Forces armées canadiennes à titre d'agent de liaison ou de commis ; travail à l'appui des programmes d'approche communautaire des Forces armées canadiennes à l'échelle nationale ou internationale ; expérience à titre d'agent de sélection du personnel de la base ; ou autre rôle militaire unique comportant une liaison communautaire, des relations externes et une interaction avec le public ou fonctionnaires ou employés de la Légion royale canadienne ayant travaillé à titre de conseiller auprès des anciens combattants.
  • Minimum 3 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du développement de l'emploi 
  • Expérience de travail avec des personnes présentant des handicaps ou d'autres obstacles à l'emploi.
  • Le bilinguisme (anglais/français) est un atout important.
  • Une expérience équivalente liée à l'armée ou aux anciens combattants est un atout important.
  • Obtenir et maintenir la cote de fiabilité de la Direction de la sécurité industrielle canadienne de la fonction publique et de l'approvisionnement du Canada.

Horaires : Diverses équipes dans le cadre des heures d'ouverture. Les heures d'ouverture sont du lundi au vendredi de 6 h 30 à 20 h 00 HNE. Flexibilité requise.
