WATER TRUCK DRIVER/FACILITY MAINTENANCE

Sand Tiger Lodge is an oil sands workforce camp located 43 Km south of Fort McMurray,

Alberta on Highway 63 (near Hangingstone).

Sand Tiger Lodge is hiring for the position of Water Truck Driver/Facility Maintenance. The position is Temporary (expected term is May 1 - June 30) but has the potential to extend another 30 days based on demand for services. The successful person will generally work 20 days on/10 days off. This schedule maybe subject to change as conditions arise.

Job Summary:

  • Transport potable water for Sand Tiger Lodge as well as other customers.

Tiger's Potable Water Services:

  • Assure all paperwork (including but not limited to) water tickets, record of loads hauled/transferred, maintenance and safety records are completely accurate and forwarded to supervisor daily.
  • Assure the truck is well maintained, including (but not limited) checking oil, tires, belts, pumps, fittings as well as any other items associated with the truck and its operations.
  • Report any service, operational or equipment problems immediately to supervisor as they arise.
  • Accurately measure and operate water transferred to and from the truck, ensuring no spills occur.
  • Provide maintenance services as required by supervisor - *Most tasks will be manual labor related in maintaining camp facilities.
  • Attend safety and staff meetings as required.
  • Be dependable in work performance.
  • Be organized.
  • Assist other team members and staff as required.
  • Adhering to company policies at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.

Compensation

  • Day rate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits as outlined in the personnel handbook, subject to policy changes.
  • Allowance for travel, as outlined by the company policy.

Requirements

  • Experience driving Super Bee equipment.
  • Class 1 Drivers License.
  • 3 years driving experience.
  • Clean driver's abstract.
