Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Work under supervision at Bristol Machine Works facilities and customer sites include out of town jobs, mine sites and underground
  • Set-up, operate and maintain machinery and equipment
  • Perform precision welding
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specification to plan layout, assembly and fabricating operations
  • Operate and perform bore welding to acceptable levels

What you need:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills
  • Secondary school graduate
  • Provincial or inter-provincial license by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities or an equivalent agency preferred
  • Candidate must demonstrate the competencies outlined by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Welding trade guidelines
  • Canadian Red-Seal (welding)
  • Must have CWB flat & horizontal flux core and overhead SMAW stick welding tickets as a minimum
  • Must have machining or align-boring experience
  • Preference given to candidates with 4 or more years of welding experience in the fabrication and repair of Bristol type products; relevant Field Welding work experience
  • Ability to work underground and at remote sites as required
  • Ability to wear a respirator
  • Able to operate and perform bore welding to acceptable levels
  • Able to use and read measuring tools such as micrometer
  • Experience in machine operating/machining and welding an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $42.58-$42.98 per hour
