Sell stone. Serve people. Have fun.
Hard work doesn't have to feel hard. Seriously. When you work at Select Stone, you get to spend your time with talented people, work for inspiring clients and surround yourself with the most beautiful natural stone around. Sure, the pay and learning experiences are great, but trust us when we say the people here are fun. If you're tired of the same old and are looking for an opportunity you'll absolutely love — give us a shout.
We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team and lead our growth in Southwestern Ontario, including the architect, builder, landscape and construction markets. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be the face of Select Stone—building relationships, opening new accounts, and driving meaningful growth while ensuring every customer experiences the exceptional service we are known for.
What You'll Do
Practically speaking, here's what you'll do on a day-to-day basis…
New Business Development
- Proactively identify, pursue, and close new customer opportunities across the region.
- Develop and execute a structured prospecting plan targeting high-value accounts.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, and designers.
- Represent Select Stone at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
- Track pipeline activity, market movements, and win/loss outcomes.
Relationship Management
- Transition new accounts into long-term, repeat customers.
- Maintain ongoing communication to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate with inside sales and operations to ensure accurate orders, timely delivery, and exceptional service.
- Act as the customer's advocate within the company to ensure issues are resolved quickly.
Territory Planning & Execution
- Build and maintain a detailed territory plan, including segmentation and visit cadence.
- Manage your schedule, appointments, and travel to maximize time in the field.
- Monitor market activity, competitive pricing, and regional trends.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and follow consistent sales processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the General Manager and Marketing team to align messaging and outreach.
- Provide valuable field feedback to help guide product development and inventory planning.
- Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning.
Professionalism & Brand Representation
- Embody Select Stone's values of Love, Teamwork, Humility, Learning, Integrity, Accountability, and Ambition in all interactions.
- Maintain a polished, professional presence while representing Select Stone.
- Demonstrate high levels of motivation, initiative, and follow-through.
The Right Fit
Perhaps you've been in field sales for a few years and are ready for a new challenge. Or maybe you're looking to grow into a role with autonomy, relationship-building, and plenty of customer interaction. Whatever your background, you'll be a great fit if you have the following:
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of business development or field sales experience — ideally in stone, building materials, landscaping, or construction.
- A proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, self-starting, goal-oriented personality.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout Southwestern Ontario.
- Comfortable using CRM tools and basic computer applications.
What We Can Offer You
Typically, you'll work full-time in the field and at our office, Monday to Friday. As a member of our team, you'll enjoy:
- A competitive base salary plus commission
- A company truck
- A comprehensive benefits package
- Christmas shutdown, plus regular vacation
- Career development opportunities including training, conferences, and industry events
- Company parties and events, including bi-weekly barbecues
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Select Stone Inc is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process. If you are contacted for a job opportunity, please advise us of any necessary accommodations.
