Role Description

CanPro Process Services Ltd. is seeking a qualified Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registered with APEGS to oversee pre-commissioning activities at our Saskatoon industrial project site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site engineering, safety compliance, progress tracking, and communication with the client's representative. This position requires hands-on knowledge of piping layouts, mechanical systems, and instrumentation, along with strong planning and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the site engineer of record for daily pre-commissioning and mechanical completion activities.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, including actual vs. planned progress reports.
  • Conduct and record daily toolbox safety meetings, ensuring full site compliance with OHS and client safety procedures.
  • Oversee and verify installation, inspection, and test activities for piping and instrumentation systems.
  • Manage and update red-mark drawings for "As-Built" documentation; coordinate with design office for stamping and client submission.
  • Prepare daily site reports, progress summaries, and issue status updates to the client.
  • Track and manage inventory and material releases; coordinate with warehouse and procurement team.
  • Review and interpret P&IDs, piping layouts, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Liaise directly with client representatives and contractors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

Competitive hourly or daily rate (commensurate with experience and registration level).
