Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Harvest Technician is responsible for providing logistical support to the harvest process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with connecting the harvest vessel to the offloading tower for fish transfer.
  • Control the flow of fish and blood water from the harvest vessel into transfer tankers.
  • Act as the Grieg representative during vessel offloading operations.
  • Maintain offloading equipment (tower, spill tray, transfer line) or coordinate required maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with harvest vessel crew, truck drivers, and employees across multiple locations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Ability to problem solve
  • Physically fit – ability to lift 50lbs
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and efficiently

Training, Education, and Experience

High school diploma required. Candidates with experience and/or education in aquaculture will be preferred.

Working Schedule

Harvest Technicians work seven (7) consecutive days following seven (7) days off before returning to work.

Work Site Conditions and Expectations

  • Mostly outdoors
  • Wet/damp environment
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Overtime may be asked of you
  • Working under pressure
  • Meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision
