Industrial Custodian

 As an Industrial Custodian, you will perform all duties related to the upkeep and maintenance of a tour-ready, state-of-the-art industrial manufacturing organization that builds equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 1403 Dundas Street, WoodstockDedicated Afternoon Shift: 4:30pm – 3:00am, Monday – ThursdayShift Premium: $3.00/hour  Job DutiesOperate industrial vacuum cleaners and floor-sweeping/scrubbing machines to remove dirt, scraps, coolant, oil and heavy debris from office and shop floor areasCollect waste and recycling from the shop floor, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, etc. and dispose in appropriate outdoor bins/compactorsDispose of recycled cardboard in the compactor and bale cardboard as requiredMop, clean and sanitize washrooms, lunchrooms, and the kitchenettes, including high-touchpoints in the facility, such as doorknobs, light switches, etcWash windows, interior walls, and ceilings  Outdoor/yard cleanup  Distribute paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in washrooms  Maintain an inventory of sanitary and janitorial supplies Skills and ExperienceAdaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes or unexpected eventsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision to complete daily cleaning tasksPhysical requirements include the use of strength such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during the work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bendingPotential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outsideQualificationsExperience cleaning within manufacturing environments (shopfloor and office)Knowledge of safe chemical and solvent handling practicesExperience operating a forklift or willing to learnWhat We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ's, pizza parties and more Competitive Wages and Profit Sharing: In addition to competitive wages, we celebrate our financial success together through profit sharing. RRSP Matching Program: Retirement planning?
