Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4 years experience, work well on a team or as an individual, be self motivated and value professionalism in their duty's. We are a busy independent shop, typical work hours are 8 to 5 with overtime often available.

Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including belts, gears, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
  • Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and recommend solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to promote safety and productivity

Requirements

  • Red seal certification or minimum 4 years industry experience necessary, automotive or marine experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role, with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in various working conditions
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting purposes

This position is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our facilities, ensuring safety standards are met, and supporting continuous production improvements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
