What you will do

  • Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers.
  • Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers.
  • Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
  • Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
  • Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
  • Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise
  • Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations.
  • Escalate situation to law enforcement as required.
  • Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
  • A Valid Security License
  • Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
  • Previous security experience in a retail environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills'
  • Ability to work without close supervision
  • Use of Force Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

  • Undercover : 1 year (required)
  • Retail Security: 1 year (required)
  • Undercover Loss Prevention: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • Security Licence (required)
