Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and preventing loss or unauthorized access. Prior experience in law enforcement, surveillance, or loss prevention is highly valued, along with familiarity with CCTV systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect suspicious activity.
  • Monitor security cameras and surveillance equipment to oversee all areas of the premises.
  • Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
  • Enforce access control procedures by checking credentials and authorizations.
  • Assist visitors and staff with directions or inquiries while maintaining security protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
  • Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
  • Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrol duties across large areas.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and able to work various shifts as needed.
  • Must pass background checks and any required training certifications related to security operations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Seasonal

Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: $17.75-$21.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 44 per week
