Position Title: RV Solar/Battery Technician

Location: Chilliwack, BC

Escape is growing Escape Trailer Industries is a customer-focused fiberglass RV travel trailer manufacturer located in Chilliwack, BC. We are searching for an RV Solar/Battery Technician to join our product development team to assist in integrating solar and battery systems into our trailers. The successful candidate will possess strong hands-on skills with electrical tools, mechanical assembly, and expertise in 12VDC and 120VAC systems, particularly for RV applications utilizing Victron Energy Products. Additionally, strong communication with production staff is critical to implementing new solar and battery integrations on the manufacturing line. Position requires an organized self-starter who can balance shifting priorities and many projects in parallel.

Essential duties & requirements include:

· Work with engineers and plant assemblers to manage solar and battery system installations and changes on the manufacturing line

· Independently install and configure solar panels, batteries, inverters, and related components, often acting as the designer in the process and providing constructive feedback on designs

· Perform testing and validation of new solar and battery setups according to predetermined test plans, ensuring optimal performance and safety in RV environments

· Iteratively work through installation and integration of new solar designs, developing, optimizing, and documenting assembly processes

· Work with aftersales to resolve customer issues and implement improvements to mitigate future issues

Skills and Experience:

· 5+ years experience with electrical tools, hand and power tools, particularly in RV solar and battery installations.

· Lithium and Lead acid battery systems, cable sizing, fuse sizing, monitoring systems

· Victron Energy products, solar controllers, DC|DC chargers, Inverters

· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

· Proficient in use of MS Office applications

· Comfortable being in an industrial shop setting with inherent safety requirements

Not required but beneficial skills to the role:

· CAD design knowledge (Onshape, Solidworks) is an asset

· Familiarity with Business Central, ERP, and BOM management

· 4x10 schedule Monday to Thursday
