Description

The OpenText Developer and Support Analyst is responsible for providing break/fix support, system administration, development/enhancement, upgrades, patching, quality assurance, and technical documentation across the OpenText Content Management/Content Server, Extended ECM, and Process Automation/AppWorks platforms.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Install, configure, and support OpenText applications (Content Management/Content Server, Extended ECM, Records Management, Physical Objects, Process Automation/AppWorks, Email Management, OTDS, Archive Center, OpenText Intelligent Classification/Magellan Text Mining/Auto-Classification, etc.).
• Perform application upgrades, patching, and migrations for OpenText environments.
• Conduct day‑to‑day application administration.
• Design, develop and maintain new applications, reports, templates, and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, system failures, or technical errors. Identify root causes, work with vendors as needed, and implement quality solutions.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and participate in solution design.
• Modify, enhance, and create configurations or applications that meet business requirements while following design specifications, development standards, documentation practices, and quality guidelines.

Mandatory Education/Certifications:

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Formal OpenText training (including but not limited to):
• Formal OpenText Content Server developer/administrator training
• Formal OpenText AppWorks developer/administrator training

Mandatory Experience:

• Possess a minimum of 5 year's experience:
• In a system administration IT role
• Developing for the OpenText Content Management/Content Server platform, including use of Content Server Web Services, REST APIs, and experience with workspaces, WebReports, and templates.
• Designing low‑code solutions on the OpenText Process Automation/AppWorks Platform, including working with entities, business process models, and creating/editing artifacts such as lifecycles, connectors, and workflows.
• Experience in all phases of System Development Lifecycle (requirements, designs, build, test deploy)
• Java or .NET development experience with good knowledge of Object-oriented programming concepts
• Experience creating and maintaining Windows/Azure PowerShell (Azure CLI, Bash) scripts
• Developing with HTML, CSS, JavaScript(jQuery), and SQL
• Configuring and managing web/application servers (IIS, Apache Tomcat/TomEE, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Windows and RHEL VMs, Storage Accounts, PostgreSQL Flexible Server, etc.)
• Knowledge of software development standards and best practice approaches
• Exposure to Agile development methodology
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Ability to perform multiple duties concurrently with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to prioritize and manage work.
• Ability to pro-actively monitor and communicate for timely escalation of issues.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.

• Experience with Content Server WebForms, Workflows, and ActiveView.
• Experience with OScript development for Content Server
• Experience supporting and administrating other OpenText products (Archive Center, OTDS, OpenText Intelligent Classification/Magellan Text Mining/Auto-Classification, OpenText Intelligence/Magellan BI & Reporting, etc.)
• Experience supporting and administrating Knowledgemill for OpenText Email Management
• Experience supporting and administrating GCI PowerTools for Documents
• Experience supporting and administrating Invoice Capture Center, Imaging Enterprise Scan and Vendor Invoice Management
• Experience as an Information Protection and Compliance Administrator in Microsoft Purview
• Experience maintaining Sensitivity Labels and Label Policies
• Experience maintaining Data Loss Prevention policies
• Experience maintaining Sensitive information types and trainable classifiers
• Experience maintaining Microsoft Information Protection Scanner
• Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management
• Experience as a Data Governance Administrator in the Microsoft Purview
• Experience in defining and implementing retention policies and retention labels in Microsoft Purview
• Experience with other Microsoft products (365 platform, SharePoint, OneDrive, Sentinel, Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Conditional Access Policies, Intune, Power Platform, Copilot etc.)
• Experience supporting and administrating Autodesk product suite.
• Experience supporting and administrating DocuSign product suite.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Experience developing modern full‑stack applications using React, , TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails.
• Testing best practice knowledge
• Experience creating and executing tests to ensure high product quality
