Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

Inner City Diesel Ltd. (ICD) is excited to announce we are seeking a Journeyperson/Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician to support our needs on a client site

These positions are on a 14-day rotation, working 12-hour shifts per day, with furnished accommodations and fly in fly out for workers across Canada.

Travel for non-local hires is 100% reimbursed in the form of flights or fuel, and all accommodations are professionally cleaned and fully furnished, including a full kitchen with dishes and appliances, tv, cable, a washer/dryer, Wi-Fi. Transportation to and from work is also provided

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing major and minor repair work on motors, pumps, hydraulic equipment, diesel engines, compressors, controls, valves, and other related equipment.
• Inspecting, adjusting, and replacing necessary equipment, units, and related parts in the performance of repair and maintenance work.
• Perform large component replacements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
• Safely operate company provided equipment.
• Troubleshooting of engine, hydraulic, electrical, braking and powertrain systems.
• Inspecting, diagnosing, and performing major and minor repair work on diesel powered work boats and other related equipment
• Knowledge and experience operating all equipment for positioning and diagnosing purposes

Required Qualifications:

• Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician, Heavy Duty Mechanic, On-Road, or Commercial Transport
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Desired Qualifications:

• Oilfield and/or mining experience
• CVIP certified
• Experience working as a mechanic on boats or other marine equipment
• Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.

Successful candidates must provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

• Comprehensive alcohol and drug test clearance letter
• Copy of valid Class 5 driver's license
• Copy of current 3-year clean driver's abstract
• Copies of training certificates
