Job Overview
Centoco Plastics is looking for an energetic, hands-on Maintenance Technician for a fast-paced plastics mold injection facility.
This role will focus on ensuring effective and efficient operations of all plant equipment by maintaining all equipment to a quality performance level through regular preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong injection molding background, a technical knowledge of equipment and tooling, an understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principals, be organized and a motivated self-starter.
Responsibilities
- Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Installing machinery and mechanical equipment using hand and power tools.
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Operating machine tools to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations.
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
- Some facility maintenance duties and other duties as required.
Requirements
- · Must be able to work a 3-Shift Rotation
2-week rotations
Midnights (11:00PM – 7:30AM)
Afternoons (3:00PM – 11:30PM)
Days (7:00AM – 3:30PM)
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in plastic injection molding.
- Able to read and interpret drawings.
- Experience in mold changeovers.
- Able to multi-task
