Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team at June on Cambie.

The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to manage reservations efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeaour.
  • Manage reservations if anchoring and working alongside anchor as a floater.
  • Provide menus and inform guests of specials or promotions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
  • Assist in coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and updating reservations as needed.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and courteously to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support the team during peak hours by assisting with serving when necessary.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred, with a background in guest services or hospitality.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Familiarity with food service operations and understanding of customer service principles.
  • Experience with POS systems, particularly Resy or OpenTable, is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members to create an enjoyable dining experience for guests.

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
