Senior Geotechnical Engineer

EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Geotechnical team in our Stoney Creek office. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

• Manage, coordinate and provide technical direction to site investigation and geotechnical laboratory testing programs
• Undertake geotechnical analyses and report on ground investigation findings and provide recommendations
• Ensuring high quality of technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
• Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement
• Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
• Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
• Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
• Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
• Any other functions assigned as part of your employment

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

• M.A.Sc. or M.Eng. in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering
• 8+ years' experience in Geotechnical consulting or similar field
• Licensed as a P. Eng. or P. Geo. in Ontario
• A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
• Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
• Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
• Familiarity with Slide, Plaxis, Settle3, RSPile, SeepW and CAD

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the years of relevant experience and qualifications that the successful candidate brings to the role.
