Responsibilities

• Lead the design and management of technical solutions for large-scale enterprise programs and portfolio projects within the financial sector.
• Develop and articulate conceptual and logical architectures that meet strategic business, financial, and technology goals, including documenting systems, architecture frameworks, process flows, and value chains.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Analysts to gather, clarify, and consolidate application requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Validate the feasibility of requirements in conjunction with the Enterprise Architecture team, assessing compatibility with existing systems and architectural standards.
• Advocate for technical solutions by presenting and defending designs during governance and review forums.
• Ensure that all solutions adhere to internal standards and external regulations, managing trade-offs to balance speed-to-market, quality, and cost considerations.
• Contribute to the development of scalable service-oriented architectures, including micro-services, RESTful APIs, and data modeling.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including system diagrams, process flows, and architecture descriptions to facilitate governance and future enhancements.
• Foster close collaboration within a cross-functional team comprising solution architects, business partners, and technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Desired Skill-Set

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Solution Architect in an enterprise environment, ideally within the financial services sector.
• Over 10 years' experience in enterprise application and information architecture design.
• At least 5 years of software development experience, with a solid understanding of software lifecycle processes.
• Deep expertise in service-oriented architecture, micro-services, and API development, particularly RESTful/JSON schemas.
• Proven ability to design and implement real-time and batch interface systems, supported by strong documentation skills.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and familiarity with the BIAN Financial Model.
• Strong knowledge of database design, relational databases, and data modeling techniques.
• Cloud computing expertise with proven experience in deploying and managing solutions on cloud platforms.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within Agile project environments.
• Prior banking or financial industry experience.
• Hands-on involvement in digitization or online/mobile banking projects.
• Experience in mortgage, ATM, branch, or call center environments.
• Certification or familiarity with architecture standards and frameworks beyond TOGAF.
