We're hiring an IT Support / Helpdesk Technician to provide first-line technical support to internal users and clients. The role troubleshoots hardware, software, and network issues, maintains endpoints, documents incidents, and escalates as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system; log, triage, and resolve incidents.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and common peripherals.
- Support Windows and macOS client environments and standard business applications (Office 365, web apps).
- Troubleshoot basic TCP/IP networking, VPNs, and Wi‑Fi connectivity.
- Use remote-support tools to diagnose and resolve user issues.
- Perform routine updates, patching, antivirus checks, and endpoint security tasks.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, and knowledge-base articles.
- Assist with user onboarding/offboarding, account setup, and permissions.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff and participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications (required)
- 1–3 years of hands-on helpdesk or IT-support experience.
- Practical knowledge of Windows client OS and familiarity with macOS.
- Basic networking understanding (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and common troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote-support tools.
- Strong customer-service orientation and clear communication skills.
- Authorization to work in Canada.
Qualifications (preferred)
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 or equivalent certifications.
- Experience with Active Directory, M365 administration, or basic scripting (PowerShell).
- Familiarity with backup solutions and endpoint-management tools (Intune, JAMF).
- Experience supporting finance-sector clients or knowledge of compliance requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: $20.91-$35.35 per hour
