Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
  • Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across key areas and detect suspicious behavior
  • Control access points by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies with appropriate action including first aid or contacting law enforcement as needed
  • Manage conflict situations with professionalism using conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions
  • Perform safety inspections and enforce loss prevention measures to protect company assets and property
  • Document all incidents, observations, and security activities accurately in shift reports and logs

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service or related fields is highly desirable
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
  • Knowledge of surveillance tools such as CCTV systems
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods while maintaining alertness during shifts as our shifts require constant surveillance of your surroundings
  • Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public
  • Additional qualifications such as having a security licenses is required for employment
