Electrical Design of Heavy Equipment Machinery - Agricultural / Mining Equipment

• High Voltage Power Distribution / Power Hub / Control Panel for Heavy Equipment / Industrial Machinery
• Electrical Design control panels for heavy industrial machines, production lines, or process systems
• Creating wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bill of materials
• Selecting components: PLCs, relays, breakers, contactors, VFDs, power supplies
• Ensuring panels meet UL/CSA/IEC standards
• Working closely with automation engineers and electricians

Salary: 100K-125K; bonus, benefits, RRSP

responsible for the complete electrical control panel design including wiring diagrams, schematics, system design, power distribution, documentation, integration and testing of custom-built high voltage electrical control panels. The job is based in
Newmarket - Peterborough- Kingston, ON area
and will require
mostly 5 days on site.

Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer
will be based in the manufacturing plant and will be responsible for creating new and modifying existing control panels and high voltage heavy industrial equipment. You will develop detailed
control schematics, logic diagrams,
wiring layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, CREO
in compliance with
IEC standards.
You will
allocate power distribution
,
specify AC electrical panels, ensuring they meet electrical safety codes and performance standards, select appropriate components such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers and wiring to create efficient and reliable AC panel designs, detailed electrical schematics, control diagrams, and panel layouts, coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure components are sourced to specifications; test, troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to panel performance or system integration; ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations, including local (US) and international codes (e.g., IEC, NEC) ; develop documentation for panel builds, including detailed technical drawings, instructions, and reports for the manufacturing teams. You will assist manufacturing if there are any installation commissioning issues and trouble shoot modify the design.

Electrical Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer
will have a degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) and close to 3 years of Electrical Design Engineering experience ideally in high voltage machinery, equipment, heavy industrial machinery and similar designing the 'Controls & Distribution hub' / Control Panels for the heavy duty Mobile equipment; familiarity with VFD for motors, transformers and similar is a MUST. Experience working with manufacturing to modify / change the design and be able to independently work with design teams in other countries is a MUST. Excellent English communication skills, ability to work in large manufacturing plant independently is a MUST.
