Job Purpose

  • With a national scope of work, the Market Access Lead reports directly to the Director, Market Access and Payer Solutions.
  • This role is critically accountable to secure market access for Specialty/Oncology Care brands within GSK's Canadian portfolio
  • The Market Access Lead will be responsible for the development and implementation of the Canadian Market Access Strategy across the entire product lifecycle to secure timely product listings and maintain patient access for the assigned therapeutic area.
  • The role will be responsible for providing lead support for our Specialty/Oncology portfolio as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • As a player coach leading a team of Market Access Managers, you are accountable for securing market access for in-line products while providing strategic assessment and direction for pipeline assets.
  • Oversee, develop and execute end-to-end market access strategies and tactics to optimize public and private reimbursement (time to listing, breadth of coverage) for assigned therapeutic area.
  • Partner effectively with other Government and Market Access functions (Pricing, External Affairs and Policy) and Health Economics and Outcomes Research Teams integrate multiple components (such as pricing, real world evidence generation, health economic data, budget impact analyses, external engagement, negotiations, policy, etc.) into effective strategies to deliver timely access for patients.
  • Lead market access assessments, evidence planning and strategy development for portfolio pipeline products to optimize future listings.
  • Oversee the development of HTA and private payer submissions that will clearly demonstrate value of our products to Canadian payers, through evidence generation, interpretation and communication.
  • Partner with the Global Market Access teams to influence and proactively ensure that Canadian market access needs are incorporated into portfolio strategies.
  • Lead development and execution of pCPA negotiation strategies for assigned therapeutic area and partner with the External Affairs team to secure Product Listing Agreements and on funding implementation.
  • Oversee and lead Market Access input into commercial brand planning.
  • Effectively partner cross-functionally to gain insights and drive implementation of Market Access strategies.

Why You?
Basic Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health Policy, Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • 7years pharmaceutical/biotech experience (Market Access, Pricing, Sales, Brand Marketing, etc.)
  • 7 years of market access experience within the Oncology / Specialty Pharma / Biotech sector.
  • 2 years of people leadership coaching, driving performance and delivering objectives through others.

Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, MPH, PharmD, MBA) or formal training in health economics or policy.
  • Experience leading national submissions to HTA bodies and provincial processes.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Background in specialty care, oncology, rare disease, or complex products.
  • Track record of cross-functional leadership and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with real-world evidence generation and interpreting economic models.

Working model
This role is hybrid, with regular time expected in our Canadian office and flexibility to work remotely part of the week. Local presence may be needed for payer meetings and team collaboration.

The annual compensation for this role is CAD102,000 to CAD152,000 , determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
