A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees.  Over 650 employees strong, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.  

Insight is currently seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic and expanding team. This is a full time, temporary, 18-month contract, with the possibility of extension and/or a full-time role. This position will rotate between our 17 designated clinics in the Edmonton and immediate area on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Greeting and checking in of all patientsDocumentation of patient information on computerEnsures all previous examinations are importedPorter and change patients in preparation for examsHandle all incoming report and image requestsRequesting previous exams from outside facilitiesLooking up and importing previous studies prior to arrival of scheduled patientsMust maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or resultsProvide patients with exam preparations

Skills:

Self motivated Ability to work in a fast paced/high stress environmentPersonal skills which include attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interact with patients in a tactful and courteous mannerKnowledge of office routines, schedules, and protocol

Qualifications

Grade 12 graduate. Computer experience with minimum 50 words per minuteKnowledge and understand of medical terminology are considered an asset Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk, Medical Transcription program an asset
