Warehouse Worker

Responsible for a variety of tasks in the warehouse. Under direction of the purchasing manager, will assist in regulating inventory using an ERP system, ship/receive/restock/return material, and maintain the shop.
A successful performer in this role will have the opportunity to grow their skill set with Pro-Western Mechanical and pursue a plumber apprenticeship in the field.
Responsibilities
- ship/receive materials
- enter returns
- pull/restock inventory
- pick-up, delivery and packaging of material
- co-ordinate maintenance & service of company vehicles, equipment and tools
- fabrication of small mechanical assemblies
- participate in safety program / complete inspections as required
- Maintain a safe clean shop/warehouse/yard
- Manual lifting required: 75lbs
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize and problem solve
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Ability to thrive in an active environment and perform under tight deadlines
- Positive attitude and the desire to continuously improve
- Willing and able to accept direction and work independently
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs several times through a day
Education/Experience
- Warehouse or construction experience
- Forklift (PME) certification is considered an asset
- Grade 12 or GED
- Valid Driver License
- Trailer hitching, hauling and loading/unloading
- Plumbing experience is an asset
Wage
Wage will be based on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.15-$24.92 per hour
