Primary Objectives
The Corporate Training & Development Specialist leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-impact learning programs across underwriting, sales, claims, and engineering inspection and responsible for continuous improvement across the Learning Excellence ecosystem. This role translates enterprise learning strategy into scalable programs that drive performance, is aligned with business needs and foster a culture of continuous learning.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program Design & Development
  • Design and develop training programs, modules, and materials across blended learning approaches (instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, microlearning)
  • Deliver training content and facilitate training sessions in person and virtually when required.
  • Apply adult learning principles and modern instructional design practices to transform technical content into clear, engaging, and accessible learning experiences.
  • Designs, facilitates and/or participates in cross-functional training projects that enhance the Learning Excellence ecosystem and support continuous improvement.
  • Test all e-Learning courses prior to publishing to ensure a positive user experience.
  • Learning Strategy & Quality
  • Ensure alignment of training programs with business needs, strategic priorities, and industry standards.
  • Support the development of learning roadmaps, employees' growth pathway, and training curriculum structures.
  • Conduct research and incorporate emerging learning trends and technologies.
  • Program Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Ensures appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized to improve execution and delivery of results.
  • Manage training program development cycles from concept to deployment.
  • Partner with SMEs and business unit leaders to ensure training relevance and impact.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with managers, leadership, and vendors/external contacts.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop evaluation tools and analyze learning data to assess program effectiveness.
  • Assist with measuring the effectiveness of training, manage feedback, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Conduct needs assessments and define learning objectives aligned to business priorities.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for ongoing learning and development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Education, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Learning & Development and practical adult learning experience, including delivery, assessment, and needs analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and delivering structured, engaging and learning-focused content in a variety of formats such as e-modules, webinars and videos.
  • Strong analytical skills, using data, insights, and evaluation results to guide improvements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; including facilitation skills using a virtual environment.
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and web conferencing solutions such as Microsoft Teams.
  • French is an asset.

Our base salary range for this role is between $90,450 and $105,525 per year , plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to internal equity.
