Chica's Chicken is hiring at its new Whitby location We're a local, Michelin-awarded restaurant located in the heart of Whitby. This is a great opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment. We're looking for someone reliable, organized and if you have customer service experience, that's a plus.

We are looking for a new Crew Member to join our team few days week. Flexibility is required as the schedule may change slightly week-to-week based on store needs.

Operating hours are Sunday - Thursday 11:30am-9:00pm and Friday - Saturday 11:30am-11:00pm.

Duties

- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting guests in a friendly manner.

- Take customer orders accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions efficiently.

- Prepare food items according to established recipes and food safety standards.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including the kitchen and dining space.

- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.

- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales.

- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of customers.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

- Operating Fryers

Requirements

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.

- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.

- Familiarity with food safety practices is a plus.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations, cashiering, and food preparation.

- Light butchery

- Prepping sauces and sides

- Changing fryer oil

- Receiving and organizing morning deliveries

- Maintaining overall cleanliness of kitchen area

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
