Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, project management, and negotiation skills to deliver precise bids that align with company goals and client expectations.

Duties

  • Develop comprehensive project estimates using industry-standard tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources.
  • Prepare detailed cost proposals including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor quotes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, assumptions, and revisions throughout the bidding process.
  • Assist in the review of contracts and change orders to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
  • Support project management teams in budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation based on estimate data.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new estimating software or techniques.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex project plans and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly.
  • Knowledge of construction pricing strategies and cost control measures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
