**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize software tools such as OST, QuickBid & Excel to create and manage estimates.
- Analyze & read blueprints/drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, equipment and labor estimates with a full understanding of the required scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope.
- Perform site walks to gather information for accurate estimates, including understanding site conditions and potential challenges.
- Build strong relationships with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Stay informed on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor project costs throughout the Estimating/Construction process to identify any discrepancies & trends.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and reviewing proposals.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial drywall or construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as OST and QuickBid.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and labor costs.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
- Ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of project management principles is a plus.
- Proficient in Excel & MS Word
- Ability to multi-task and self manage when necessary but also function as a key part of our estimating team.
- Experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
