The student will be responsible for applying tools and techniques to the evaluation of energy performance in commercial, residential and institutional buildings.Position: Energy Modelling StudentStart Date: January 2026 (options for an 8 or 12 month placement) Location: TorontoResponsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:Support energy modelling development through analysis of design drawings including take-offsCreate energy models with the support of senior modellersPerform energy savings calculations and utility analysis for existing buildingsReview building design documentation to determine the feasibility for projects to achieve various sustainability standards, including Toronto Green Standard, LEED, and Zero Carbon Building StandardWork with internal and external stakeholders on creative sustainable design solutions for projectsPrepare green building-related reports and presentationsPreferred Education & Experience:Currently enrolled in secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systemsWe thank all candidates for their interest, however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
