Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting for multiple legal entities in a diversified hospitality organization
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, working capital, and banking relationships
  • Maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and intercompany accounting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; support financial planning activities
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight on labour, food & beverage, events, and venue profitability
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, accounting standards, tax requirements, and municipal contract obligations
  • Oversee payroll accounting, gratuities, and statutory remittances
  • Coordinate audits, external accountants, and government agencies
  • Hire, train, coach, and mentor the accounting and finance team
  • Improve financial systems, reporting, and processes to enhance efficiency and profitability

Your Qualifications:

  • CPA designation
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a fast-paced, multi line of business accounting environment.
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing a team of finance professionals.
  • Experience in private sector business enterprises
  • Experience using Quickbooks, Dayforce, and/or other relevant accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Experience within the hospitality industry considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent
