Employment Opportunity

The Eskasoni School Board is accepting applications for casual cooks for the Immersion school and the daycare.

The cook is responsible for food preparation and service of meals in accordance with the menu. Maintains a high standard of safety and sanitation in cleaning of equipment and work areas. 

Work Term: Casual on-call basis (September to June

Requirements  

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Food handlers certificate or willing to obtain
  • Cooking experience an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively to staff and students
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Fluency in Mi'kmaq is strongly recommended
  • Satisfactory criminal record with vulnerable sector and child abuse checks must be provided.
