We are hiring a Test Automation Engineer who is passionate about delivering value and being involved in transformative initiatives. This role will play a key part in modernizing our legacy applications through the integration of third-party vendor solutions with our core banking system. Position Responsibilities:


• Identify, build tests strategies, plans, cases and scripts that ensure quality and coverage through functional, integration, end to end and performance testing of complex systems and/or individual components


• Maintain, evolve and continually improve automated test scripts and coverage using a variety of automation tools and technologies


• Integrate automated tests into build and deployment pipelines


• Complete manual tests that could not be automated


• Adhere to Quality Engineer standards and guidelines as well as audit requirements


• Analyze defects and ensure that system tests are successfully completed, documented and all issues are resolved


• Participate in code reviews, share skills and techniques with others


• Help develop and champion test automation as a practice within your team and where possible, the broader Technology team


• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, Technical Analysts, Business partners and external 3rd party vendors using Agile methodology


• Mentoring/coaching team members on automation

Required Qualifications:


• 5+ years experience as a Software Quality Automation Engineer, Software Developer Engineer Test (SDET), or equivalent.


• 5+ years of experience with Automation technologies such as Katalon, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, Perfecto, Jenkins, Cucumber, JMeter, Postman and other testing frameworks and tools


• Experience developing/coding and accomplishing test automation scripts for distributed web solutions including UI and microservices/API in a Microsoft Azure AKS environment


• Proven ability with Object Oriented Programming Language such as Java, JavaScript .NET, , Python


• Sound knowledge of quality assurance practices, automation, tools and techniques and how to apply them


• DevOps experience integrating automated testing, quality gates, and reporting into the build and deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps


• Experience writing complex test plans and test cases including how to apply risk based testing principles


• Ability to identify productivity and efficiency improvements as well as quickly and easily adapt to change


• Experience with Agile practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective facilitation and presentation skills


• Strong planning, organization, risk management, and problem solving skills


• Strong collaborator who takes initiative


• University degree or equivalent professional experience

Salary range is expected to be between

$75,880.00 CAD - $140,920.00 CAD
