Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
End-to-End QA Lead

to lead quality assurance efforts for a large-scale
data migration program

. The role requires strong expertise in
backend testing, ETL validation, data reconciliation, and migration testing strategies

, along with the ability to lead QA activities across the full project lifecycle.

The QA Lead will work closely with Data Engineering, Business, and Project teams to ensure
data accuracy, integrity, and completeness

across source and target systems.

Key Responsibilities

QA Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the
    end-to-end QA strategy

for data migration initiatives.
- Define
test approach, scope, entry/exit criteria

, and overall QA governance.
- Lead QA planning across
multiple migration cycles

(mock runs, UAT, cutover).
- Act as the
primary QA point of contact

for stakeholders.

Data Migration & Backend Testing:

  • Validate
    data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL)

processes.
- Perform
source-to-target data validation

, reconciliation, and completeness checks.
- Design and execute
SQL-based backend test cases

.
- Validate business rules, transformations, aggregations, and calculations.
- Perform
data profiling and anomaly detection

.

Test Execution & Automation:

  • Lead
    system, integration, UAT, and regression testing

for migration releases.
- Identify opportunities for
test automation

(API, ETL, regression).
- Review and approve test cases, scripts, and test data.
- Ensure defects are
clearly documented, prioritized, and tracked

.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with
    Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts, and Product Owners

.
- Coordinate UAT activities with business users.
- Provide
regular QA status reports, risk assessments, and metrics

.
- Support
cutover planning and post-migration validation

.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience

in QA, with at least
2+ years in a QA Lead role

.
- Strong experience in
data migration testing

and
backend QA

.
- Advanced proficiency in
SQL

for data validation and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience testing
ETL pipelines

and batch processes.
- Experience with
data warehouses, relational databases

, and large datasets.
- Strong understanding of
data quality, data integrity, and reconciliation techniques

.

Tools &Technologies:

  • Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL (or similar)
  • ETL Tools: Informatica, SSIS, Talend, Databricks, ADF (any)
  • Test Management: JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, HP ALM
  • Automation (good to have): Selenium, REST Assured, Postman, Python
  • Reporting & Validation: Excel, CSV, flat files, logs

Good to Have:

  • Experience with
    cloud platforms

(Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Exposure to
data lakes, lakehouse architectures

, or Big Data ecosystems.
- Knowledge of
CI/CD pipelines

for QA automation.
- Experience supporting
cutover and go-live activities

- Prior experience in
banking, insurance, healthcare, or enterprise transformations
