WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN AN APPLICANT?

  • A strong understanding of the importance of maintaining safety at all times

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to

  • Opening and/or closing the Granville Island storefront
  • Checking all equipment prior to departure
  • Preparing guests with waivers, payment, and appropiate gear and PPE
  • Leading guests on various Kayak and Paddleboard tours while providing entertaining commentary
  • Instructing guests on water safety, proper paddling technique, and where to go
  • All aspects of rental operations, including; preparing and washing equipment, safety briefings, departures and arrivals, fueling and cleaning Seadoos

Qualifications

  • Standard First Aid Certification (40 or 80-hour preferred)
  • Paddle Canada Certifications (Waterfront Instructor and Paddleboard Instructor)

If you think you might be the right candidate but don't posess the certifications for the position you want to apply for, please submit your application anyway. We occasionally partner with various organizations to offer courses in the spring. Canadian Citizens and PR holders MIGHT be eligible for a government subsidy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 4-5 months

Pay: $17.85-$19.85 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
