The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Strategic Partnership Intern to support our growing work with government, legal, and corporate affairs teams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of public-private partnerships, compliance, and strategic policy implementation. You will work closely with the Senior Director of Legal & Compliance, the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships and cross-functional team members to support our ongoing strategic partnerships, while also helping implement policies that ensure operational excellence and compliance across Canada. This internship is expected to be at least 3 months in duration (40 hrs/week). Expected start is May 2026. The internship will be located in Moderna's Toronto office, with an expectation of working at least 70% in-office.

Here's What You'll Do:

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will:

  • Assist in the coordination and facilitation of initiatives related to the strategic partnership with the Canadian government.

  • Draft briefing notes, support meeting preparation, and track partnership milestones.

  • Support corporate policy development and implementation.

  • Support governance and compliance initiatives, including monitoring regulatory changes in Ontario, Quebec and across Canada.

  • Assist in developing and updating HR policies, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory and operational needs.

  • Support business continuity and risk assessment efforts, working with internal stakeholders to identify and document key risks and mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Assist with other duties, as assigned.

Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Law, Business, Entrepreneurship/Commercialization or a related field.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Strong interest in government partnerships, public policy, legal, compliance, or corporate governance.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Bilingual (French/English) is an asset, especially for Quebec-related policy work.

  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with the proven ability to learn quickly, work independently and take ownership of tasks.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency in materials and project execution.

  • Interest in corporate affairs within the healthcare sector, with a desire to learn about the healthcare industry and Moderna's innovative mRNA technology.

  • Experience collaborating in team environments, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint), collaboration tools (Teams)
