Blackfin Sports Group is a boutique sports & entertainment agency that provides strategic sales, marketing, consulting and legal services. We work with sports teams, leagues, venues, governing bodies, individual athletes/coaches and event organizers to help them achieve their objectives in the sports and entertainment industry, including building sales strategies, increasing revenues and consulting on operations, agreements and governance. We work with clients from Canada, the U.S. and Europe, with our current team clients based in Vancouver, Seattle, Calgary and Saskatoon.
Role Description
The Sales Manager, Team Partnerships is a sales-focused role primarily responsible for revenue generation for Blackfin's team clients. You will work specifically in the area of corporate partnership sales, however, this role will also include strategic and administrative duties related to sales outreach, client marketing and proposal development as well as integration to support Blackfin's other business lines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with specified sports team clients on general revenue growth plans and/or specific initiatives (e.g. Title Partner), including developing strategies, target lists and sales outreach plans.
- Identifying and closing new or current sales proposals on behalf of Blackfin sports team clients.
- Supporting the Blackfin team on day-to-day business to ensure as a group we are delivering excellent service to current clients and sourcing new areas for revenue growth.
- Achieving sales targets as assigned in Blackfin's annual strategic plan.
- Playing a key role in supporting the Blackfin team on developing marketing presentations and sales proposals as part of the sales process.
- Managing all aspects of the sales and service process through Blackfin's CRM (HubSpot) to ensure full organizational visibility for the purposes of reporting all opportunities and demonstrating status of goals & objectives as identified in the strategic plan.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
Experience & Qualifications
- At least two full years and up to three years of experience in a sales position conducting sales outreach and managing a sales process to acquire new business.
- Strong customer satisfaction orientation to the business with a mindset of establishing and maintaining excellent relationships.
- Conceptual and strategic skills and ability to think creatively to solve problems.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working in a flat, non-hierarchical, cross-functional, fast-paced organization that requires a high level of hands-on ability.
- Comfort in making phone calls and meeting prospective clients in person.
- Completion of a professional sales or marketing program in a vocational institute or college is an asset.
- Computer literacy with specific experience with MSWord, Excel, Canva or comparable programs.
Compensation Package & Work Environment:
- Base salary in the $60k-$70k range depending on qualifications and experience.
- Variable (bonus) compensation tied to sales performance against target.

- Hybrid (remote and office) work environment. Fully remote considered if based outside of Vancouver but in western Canada.
