Your contribution
The Civil Engineer will support the Development and Construction teams on matters relating to Civil Engineering with a focus on wind technology.
Your day-to-day
During Development Phase
- Support wind projects under development during RFP phase.
- Support tender processes, tender development, proposal analysis and recommendations (preliminary design, geotechnical desktop, hydrological assessment, road and pad design, etc.).
- Prepare civil specifications/owner's requirements for advancing project designs.
- Coordinate and/or execute preliminary civil design, including review of layouts, advancement of foundation, road and pad design, laydown and substation areas, conducting trade-offs in collaboration with Resource, GIS and Construction teams.
- Review deliverables from consultants to ensure quality, scope and budget are met, in accordance with the project schedule.
- Provide reviews of specifications and documentation for EPC contracts and/or engineering consultants.
- Review civil designs and studies related to the project.
- Ensure the link with other technical disciplines, in particular the environment and occupational health and safety, on various subjects.
- Review and approve drawings submitted to ensure all engineering and construction standards and safety codes are met.
- Provide construction site engineering support including inspection and monitoring of civil installation.
- Respond to requests for information (RFIs), review and approve submittals.
- Coordinate engineering activities and manage engineering consultants' scope of work, budget and schedule.
- Interface with other technical disciplines, project management, construction, accounting and finance teams as necessary through all phases of assigned projects.
During Pre-construction And Construction Phase
- Provide reviews of specifications and documentation for EPC contracts and/or engineering consultants.
- Review civil designs and studies related to the project.

Your skills, our requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, P. E./P.Eng.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Civil Engineering, ideally with a focus on development and construction phases of wind assets including access road and pad design (alternatively a combination of experience in forestry and/or mining industries for road design).
- Knowledge of civil designs and standards for renewable energy industry with advance expertise and experience with wind projects development and construction phases.
- Great ability to work in a dynamic environment where priorities change quickly, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Enthusiastic, professional, and confident personality with a focus on a customer success and team player attitude.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and interact with various stakeholders.
- Desire to learn in a multitude of opportunities and projects with experienced people.
- Microsoft Office, RoadEng, Global Mapper, ArcGIS, Civil 3D.
- Bilingual in French would be an asset

- This position is a P3 level.

Pay Transparency Statement
Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $100,000 - $125,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
