About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. In this key role, you will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including Canada and US cross-border freight while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth day-to-day warehouse operations.

What You Will Do

Shipping and Documentation

  • Prepare and process all shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing slips, commercial invoices, manifests, and carrier paperwork.
  • Generate accurate shipment labels and maintain complete records.
  • Verify quantities, packaging, and accuracy of outgoing shipments.

Cross-Border Customs Compliance

  • Complete and review customs paperwork for Canada and US shipments, including certificates of origin and HS codes.
  • Ensure compliance with CBSA and CBP requirements.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues.
  • Stay current on import and export regulations, duties, and compliance standards.

Receiving

  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and supplier documentation.
  • Record receipts in the ERP or inventory system and communicate discrepancies.
  • Tag, route, and organize received goods within the warehouse.
  • Manage returns, RMAs, and vendor-related shipping issues.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy receiving area.

Logistics and Coordination

  • Schedule carrier pickups and manage freight forwarding logistics.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Communicate shipping and receiving updates to internal teams.

Inventory and Warehouse Support

  • Assist with cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
  • Support warehouse organization and order preparation as needed.

Recordkeeping and Reporting

  • Maintain shipment and customs records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Prepare periodic logistics reports as required.

What You Bring

  • 1 to 3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience
  • Valid Raymond Reach and counterbalance forklift licenses
  • Knowledge of Canada and US cross-border customs documentation
  • Experience working with customs brokers, carriers, and freight forwarders
  • Proficiency with ERP or inventory systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet deadlines

Working Conditions

  • Periods of standing, walking, and manual handling of materials
