Onyx-Fire Protection Services is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing finance team.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with 5+ years of experience and proven expertise in financial analysis, particularly creating Power BI dashboards.

You will play a key role in driving data-informed decision-making to support our strategic objectives and operational excellence in the fire protection industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of financial analysis and dashboards in PowerBI to support data-driven decisions across Onyx-Fire Protection Services.
  • Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to visualize KPIs, financial trends, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Sales, HR) to support strategic initiatives, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, reporting accuracy, data quality, and automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field is a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or corporate finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SQL or other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment or industry-specific knowledge (e.g., fire protection, construction, manufacturing).
