General Description

Technicians inspect, diagnose and repair suspension systems, as well as align all types of motor vehicles, trucks, and trailers.

Skill/Effort Requirements

  • Journeyman certification
  • Alberta CVIP license an asset
  • Ability to perform safely in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Comfortable in heavy industrial areas
  • Works well with others and is a good team player.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and diagnose various light through heavy truck steering & suspension systems
  • Competently use typical shop equipment including hoists, air jacks, and hydraulic equipment
  • Remove and replace truck suspension components including springs, steering components, king pins
  • Align light and heavy duty truck and trailers
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair various automotive and truck suspensions
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair various brake systems
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair various driveline components
  • General mechanical repairs
