As a Legal and Contracts Support Coordinator, you play a key role in maintaining and organizing the company's contract management infrastructure. You will focus on cleaning up and enriching the contract database, validating migrated contracts for accuracy, organizing contract repositories, and ensuring documentation is complete, properly categorized, and easy to access. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow within a legal operations environment through hands-on database administration and contract data management.
What You Do- Perform data entry and input contract information into the contract management system, including key dates, parties, contract types, and metadata, ensuring all required fields are accurately populated.
- Validate migrated contracts for accuracy and completeness, review contract data for completeness, and flag missing or incomplete information.
- Support database cleanup initiatives by identifying and correcting duplicate, outdated, or incorrectly filed contracts.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract location and status within the system.
- Upload and organize executed contracts into the appropriate database folders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities.
- Currently enrolled in law school or recent law graduate, or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in administrative support, data entry, contract coordination, or related business operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot patterns and inconsistencies in data.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with support.
- Willingness to work with detailed, data-focused projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with contract management software or database systems is a plus.
This position requires a security clearance from the Government of Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada and must successfully obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance.
