Job Overview

We at JINYA Ramen Bar are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen staff as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
  • Address customer inquiries and feedback to enhance overall dining experience.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the food industry with a focus on restaurant management or kitchen operations.
  • Strong cooking skills with knowledge of various cuisines and food preparation techniques.
  • Experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing team dynamics effectively.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems, particularly Micros POS.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is a plus.
  • Barista experience is also advantageous for those applying to establishments that serve coffee beverages.
