Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Provide clear and accurate information about currency exchange rates, services, and fees.
  • Answer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person promptly and efficiently.

Transaction Management:

  • Process foreign currency exchanges accurately using company systems.
  • Verify and authenticate currency to prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • Handle cash, checks, and electronic payments securely and responsibly.

Compliance & Accuracy:

  • Adhere to all anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance regulations.
  • Maintain meticulous records of transactions and customer information as required.
  • Ensure proper identification and documentation for high-value transactions.

Problem-Solving:

  • Address customer complaints or discrepancies with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Branch Manager as needed.

Operational Support:

  • Reconcile daily cash balances and ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in replenishing currency stock and reporting shortages.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and organization of the branch environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in retail, banking, or currency exchange is preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in using computers and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to calculate exchange rates quickly.
  • Understanding of foreign currencies and exchange processes (training provided).

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 3-5 years (required)
  • Retail, banking, currency exchange: 1 year (preferred)
  • POS: 1 year (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
