Paterson Grain is currently seeking a hardworking, analytical professional to fill the role of Accounting Analyst in our head office in Winnipeg, MB. The successful candidate will manage numerous day-to-day accounting activities. This position is ideally suited for individuals who are well organized, have excellent time management skills and can maintain a high level of performance while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis of commodity sales and purchases
  • Work closely with commodity traders and logistics coordinators to determine future marketing activity
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
  • Assisting in the preparation of year-end audit file
  • Preparation of various month-end commodity reports
  • Inventory reconciliations
  • Preparation of commodity foreign currency positions
  • Reviewing and performing analysis of commodity P&Ls
  • Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations related to the commodity P&Ls
  • Provide support for the grain marketing department

Qualifications

  • Accounting Diploma/Degree
  • Above average excel skills
  • Outstanding communication skills.
