Overview

Oleo Energies are seeking a dedicated Chemical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Niagara Falls. In this role you will support manufacturing and product development through analytical testing, quality control and lab operations in accordance with safety and environmental standards.

This position is aligned with NOC 22100-Chemical Technologists and Technicians

Key responsibilities

  • Perform chemical and physical tests on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (eg pH meters, viscometers, spectrophotometers).
  • Prepare reagents and chemical solutions.
  • Record and interpret test data following QA/QC protocols.
  • Ensure lab cleanliness, organisation and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), WHMIS and QA standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
