Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Hand Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse and field service activities. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and excellent organizational abilities. The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing teams, managing projects, estimating, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement across operations to meet company goals.
Duties
- Lead and supervise warehouse and field work to ensure efficient operations and high performance levels.
- Coordinate with other Sumas branches to optimize procurement strategies and manage supply chain logistics
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, safety, and quality standards
- Manage forklift operations safely while supervising heavy lifting tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety training sessions for staff
- Facilitate communication between departments to streamline workflow and improve customer service delivery
- Manage delivery of projects and services in the field at client sites. Limited out of town travel is required. Some overtime is required.
- Company truck/gas card/phone will be provided
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience in the field of trucking, oil & gas, mining, industrial and/or environmental services
- Highly-focused on safety with experience working at safety sensitive sites
- Confined Space Entry/Rescue experience would be highly beneficial
- Spill Response experience would be highly beneficial
- Class 1 or 3 Driver's License with driving/vacuum truck experience and understanding of fleet maintenance
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and forklifts safely
- Strong communication skills to facilitate teamwork and customer service excellence
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and analysis skills for operational decision-making
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures and inventory control practices

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
