Roof Snow Removal Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and motivated Roof Snow Removal Laborour (Part-Time) to assist with residential roof snow removal during the winter season. This role is weather-dependent and essential for maintaining safe properties by preventing roof overload, ice dams, and related damage. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, able to perform physical work in winter conditions, and committed to safety.
Responsibilities
- Remove snow from residential roofs using safe and approved methods
- Clear snow that falls from roofs onto driveways, walkways, and entry areas
- Safely work on ladders and rooftops while following all safety protocols
- Assist with ice dam prevention and removal when required
- Transport equipment and crew to job sites (use of personal vehicle preferred)
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly during snow events
- Communicate clearly with team members regarding job progress and safety concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at each property
Qualifications
- Ability to safely work on ladders and roofs at varying heights
- Comfortable performing physical labor in cold and snowy conditions
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and fall-prevention practices
- Previous snow removal or construction experience is an asset but not required
- Must be dependable and able to work on short notice during snowfall events
Vehicle Requirements
- Preference will be given to candidates with access to a pickup truck
- Applicants with other reliable vehicles are still encouraged to apply
Schedule & Hours
- Part-time, on-call position
- Hours vary depending on weather and snowfall
- Work may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during snow events
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Opportunities for increased hours during heavy snowfall periods
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 30 per week
